Typhlo & Tactus Award tactile book

The tactile book, ‘Hello Spider’ (‘Dag Spin’) was awarded 2nd prize in the 2019 edition of the Typhlo & Tactus international competition for tactile children’s books. ‘Hello Spider’ is one of six tactile books in the series known as ‘Feel Your Reading Book’ (‘Voeljeleesboek’) which Ann developed in close collaboration with teachers from the Visio School in Rotterdam.

All six books from the series 'FeelJeLeesBoek'.

‘Hello spider’ was written by braille expert Gyntha Goertz, who devised a unique concept to effectively stimulate early development of braille literacy and reading pleasure. Ann was challenged to come up with good tactile design solutions which would fulfill the long list of educational requirements. In articles you can read about the design and production process of ‘Dag Spin’ and the other titles belonging to the series.
